Training Programs
Overview
The NPDES permit requires the development and implementation of a training program for all pertinent county employees and contractors who work in the field. The program educates how to identify and report conditions in the stormwater system that may indicate the presence of illicit discharges and illegal dumping, spill prevention, and response techniques, along with erosion and sedimentation control practices.

Contractor Requirements
All bidders for Pasco County contracts are required to execute a Certification of Understanding regarding NPDES and the Pollution Prevention Control Plan (PDF). This requirement, and specific language, was coordinated with the County Attorney's Office and is incorporated into the county's bid documents.
